Semantic models of knowledge processing are the subsequent answer to permanently growing requirements in the handling of information, know-how and interactive applications.
Within the bounds of economical aid for innovative companies in disadvantaged areas ("Förderung von Forschung und Entwicklung bei Wachstumsträgern in benachteiligten Regionen - INNOVATIVE WACHSTUMSTRÄGER / INNO-WATT") the ministry supports the development of an ontology editor by id praxis. The research project - idbase dynamic ontology constructor - iDOC - will be conducted over a period of two years.
The objective is to enhance already existing tools of information processing with additional information on their interrelations on a meta-level. These tools will join in a semantic model which can be used to optimise information processes in various business and process models, both interactive and international. By doing so the knowledge base becomes editable and transportable.
The project is based on more than ten years of experience in eBusiness projects of id praxis and serves to further develop the Content Application Framework idbase | CMS.
