The increase of efficiency and safety is one of the main issues of modern airport management. The project AAS - Integrated Airport Apron Safety Fleet Management supported by the 7th Framework Programme of the European Union aims at an integrated, safe and high efficient apron management on airports.
Under the coordination of TSB-FAV the 12 European airport operators, ground handlers, research institutes, telematics and software companies are targeting the development of a competitive and safety increasing system for the monitoring and control of all movements on the apron.
The public web site for the project and comprehensive applications for cooperation and project monitoring according to the programme regulations were developed on the basis of idbase CMS 4.0.
